Eco-Fashion Finds for Spring

Spring is here, as sang so beautifully Ella Fitzergald.  And Spring sure has a way of bringing up my passion for fashion, for bold colors and joyful fashion finds. I have found some lovely ones, all sustainable and planet-friendly too:

Spring is here, as sang so beautifully Ella Fitzergald.  And Spring sure has a way of bringing up my passion for fashion, for bold colors and joyful fashion finds.

I have found some lovely ones, all sustainable and planet-friendly too:

1) Ponchos and raincoats

This poncho from 365 Dry made my heart sing. Ahhhhh, the colors are simply stunning. And its name? The WIZARD.  Now that really speaks to me.  But the best part about this poncho is that it’s eco-friendly and made from  up to 40 recycled plastic bottles by using sustainable production methods.

The collection cares for the planet by making use of some of the waste that’s already been produced and discarded.  I love it!

THIS RAIN PONCHO IS MADE FROM 40 RECYCLED PLASTIC BOTTLES DESTINED FOR THE OCEAN AND LANDFILL

I also came across this fun raincoat for men by Maium.  I love the idea of men wearing pink, one of my favorite colors!   Isn’t it just fabulous?  Like the poncho above, it is made from 77 recycled plastic bottles. I think it works for both men and women. What a terrific addition to any wardrobe.

2) Feminine Dresses

For me Spring is synonymous with fun, flirty dresses and skirts.  Having spent the winter months in mostly jeans, pants, and sweats, I can’t wait to get into my lighter dresses.  I found a few made by Tamga Designs that are both lovely and sustainable!

What a treat!  There are many styles to choose from and pantsuits too.  All of their pieces are made with sustainable materials such as Tencel and Ecovero, a viscose made sustainably.

But wait, there’s more: every detail matters at Tamga.

What can I say? I’m already a major fan!

3) Bold & Fun Swimsuits

I may be getting ahead of myself here with swimsuits ( I do live in Canada and there is still some snow on the ground) but a girl can dream. And I just came across the most gorgeous collection of swimsuits ever! Made by Summersalt, a company that has sustainability at heart.

Here is a description of their practices from their website:

There are two things at the root of everything we do: our customers, and our planet. We believe that the companies of the future must have sustainability at the core of their business model to make a lasting impact and do right by the environment. We are not perfect, but we are working toward sustainability at every turn.

We work with our partners and design team to prioritize creating collections using sustainable materials and components. For example, our swimwear is made from a luxurious fabric that is crafted from 78% Recycled Polyamide / 22% Lycra. These fabrics are crafted from post-consumer materials and nylon waste—like old fishing nets—that are literally pulled from our oceans.

Honestly, their collection is so gorgeous, it makes it hard to pick just one!

Wishing you all a very happy Spring!
