This week was our first snowfall here, always a beautiful moment.
There’s no doubt that our skin and hair is affected by the colder weather: indoor heating, cold winds and hats.
So what are we to do?
I read somewhere that eating more avocados may help our skin and scalp, but here’s a short list of some of my personal favorites:
1- Le Masque ( face mask) and L’Extrait Peoni ( face oil) by JB Skin Sävvi

2- Oneka’s Botanical Hair Treatment
I’m a huge fan of Oneka Elements and all their terrific products. I’ve had the pleasure of meeting and spending time with the two company co-founders, Stacey Lecuyer and Philippe Choinière, and had the joy of hosting retreats on their amazing land.
They recently launched a new botanically formulated hair treatment crafted at their farm, with organic unpasteurized apple cider vinegar from the family orchard and hand-picked certified organic plants from their land.
The treatment is harmoniously alchemized with certified organic plants of lemon balm, lavender, and red raspberry leaf. 3-Soothing Touch Lip Balm
Okay friends this is major. I came across this terrific lip balm from Soothing Touch while spending time at a meditation retreat in the United States. As soon as I applied it, I couldn’t believe the moisturizing feeling on my lips! It was love at first application. It’s made with cocoa and shea butter, is certified organic & vegan and the flavors taste delicious!
So far, I’ve tried the coconut lime and vanilla chai flavors and love them both. I say so far, because you can be sure I will try them all. This product literally saves my lips from dehydration and chapping year round.

4- Lush Ocean Salt Exfoliating Scrub
Do you have crocodile skin?
If so, I have just the product for you: Ocean Salt exfoliating scrub from Lush. I love see salt as an exfoliating agent since we all know that microbeads found in many cosmetic products are detrimental to the environment.
According to TreeActiv, microbeads are small, spherical plastic beads made of polyethylene—the same compound used to make plastic bags—as well as petrochemicals such as polypropylene and polystyrene. As you may already know, the accumulation of plastic waste is gradually destroying wildlife and the ecosystem because they do not easily break down. Microbeads won’t evaporate or be dissolved after applying them to your face, but instead, they enter the water supply as they are washed down the drain every time you use products that contain them. Thus, we are actually indirectly contributing to the environmental damage while trying to smoothen our skin.
A regular bottle of facial wash contains around 100,000 microbead particles and up to 300,000 beads per tube.
So let’s try this terrific alternative instead.
This scrub is refreshing, exfoliating, hydrating. This classic scrub has a mineral-rich mix of fine and coarse sea salt for serious exfoliation, balanced with coconut oil and avocado butter to soften the skin. That punchy citrus scent? It comes from lime oil.
I also love that their recycled black pots can be returned where they will be recycled again!

Cette semaine, nous avons reçu notre première chute de neige, toujours un moment divin.

2-Traitement Capillaire Oneka Elements
Je suis une fan d’Oneka Elements et de tous les produits de cette entreprise. J’ai eu le plaisir de rencontrer et de passer du temps avec les deux co-fondateurs; Stacey Lecuyer et Philippe Choinière, et j’ai eu le plaisir d’accueillir des retraites sur leur magnifique terre.
Oneka crée des produits de soins personnels fabriqués à partir d’ingrédients naturels, y compris des fleurs sauvages cultivées sur leur terre. L’une des choses que j’apprécie est le fait que pour chaque 500 ml de produit vendu, 3 bouteilles en plastique sont retirées des côtes océaniques grâce au partenariat de l’entreprise avec Plastic Bank.
Ils ont récemment lancé un traitement capillaire à base de cidre de pomme provenant du verger familial. Le traitement est fabriqué avec du vinaigre de cidre de pomme biologique non pasteurisé et des plantes biologiques certifiées cueillies à la main. Le soin est harmonieusement alchimisé avec des plantes certifiées bio de mélisse, lavande et feuille de framboisier rouge. L’infusion végétale associée à l’huile essentielle de Mélisse apporte un arôme délicat au Vinaigre de Cidre de Pomme.
Une autre merveille de la part d’Oneka, qui ne cesse de nous surprendre!

3. Baume Pour les Lèvres Soothing Touch
Oh, quelle merveille ! Je suis tombée par hasard sur ce produit incroyable de la marque Soothing Touch lors d’une retraite aux États-Unis. Dès la première application sur mes lèvres, j’ai adoré! Je décrirais même ce produit comme miraculeux! Les ingrédients sont bio, naturels et les saveurs sont délicieuses! J’adore la saveur chai vanille et celle à la noix de coco et lime. J’utilise souvent ce produit car il sauve mes lèvres de la déshydratation et des gerçures.
C’est clair que je suis une fan à vie!
4. Exfoliant Lush au Sel de Mer
On adore le sel de mer comme exfoliant car on sait que les micro-billes de plastique causent du tort aux écosystèmes sur notre belle planète!
Rafraîchissant, exfoliant et hydratant, le sel de Lush a tout pour lui! Cet exfoliant contient du sel de mer riche en minéraux pour éliminer les peaux mortes, ainsi que de l’huile de noix de coco et du beurre d’avocat adoucissant, et de l’huile essentielle de lime et l’infusion de lime. Une combinaison à faire rêver!
J’aime beaucoup leurs pots noirs qui peuvent être retournés à Lush pour être recyclés à nouveau.
