Hello dear friends, I’m thrilled to introduce my new Podcast about ethical fashion, beauty, and spirituality.  It’s also about creating a mystical and magical made-to-measure life.   I’ve been wanting to launch this podcast for the longest time and here it is! I’ve been on my own mystical journey, reconnecting with my soul and my purpose on many levels in the last few years. I’m eager to share the lessons I’ve learned. I’m also eager to introduce the amazing people I’ve met along the way.  Today, I’m speaking with the wonderful Marie-Andrée Wallot, a talented visual artist and founder of the Wallo label.

Her work caught my attention while I was scrolling through my social media feed and came across a runway shot of one of her dresses. Anyone who knows me well understands my passion for color so I felt the need to find out more about the designer. I was thrilled to find out that she’s from my native Quebec.

More than a designer, Marie-Andrée is a nature lover and a passionate artist inspired by the romance of  beauty and travel, including Japan.

Art is her passion.   You can feel it just by talking to her. And by looking at her beautiful designs.

The image of the human body in movement inspires me.  Emotion is communicated through actions and facial expressions, whether in sculpture, painting or digital art.

The idea to launch a fashion collection was sparked after she created some unique pieces for friends and family.  Each piece is hand-crafted and printed on silk and made in Quebec.   With each of her large-scale pieces,  Marie-Andrée creates unique works of art.   A poetic and fluid tribute to the female body.

I’m always impressed with artists who have the courage to follow the spark of new ideas and their creativity.  Why?  Because it takes time, effort, determination, and patience.  But following your dreams always pays off in the end.  Marie-Andrée is the living proof of this.

I was also impressed by her thoughts on eco-fashion and the importance to cut back on poor quality clothing.  Buy less, choose better quality and use the time and extra space to connect with nature.   Those are messages that resonate deep within me, always.

You can find her work in numerous boutiques across Quebec.  Here is her website.

Thank you Marie-Andrée for your soulful vibe and sharing with me on my Podcast. You have inspired me greatly!
